Collaboratory

The Collaboratory is the digital open space of the Lenbachhaus. We want to overcome social distance and create a space for exchange and joint actions. With the Collaboratory, the Lenbachhaus has created a digital space that enables interaction and communication between the various users.

During the project period in 2021, the Collaboratory was developed experimentally and prototypically. Together with the Lenbachhaus, we explored how digitally interactive and participatory elements can enable active engagement with artistic works and socially relevant topics.

The module »Laden 2021« allows visitors to create a collective and virtual installation with everyday objects.

The Open Stage Module
The Open Stage will feature lectures, performances, discussion panels. and film screenings. Visitors can choose a seat and enter.

The Light Interaction Module
Navigating through the cubes of the Light Interaction module, visitors are able to create collaborative an interactive light installation.

The CI and logo design is based on the variable font Antarctica. The logo behaves interactively and changes according to the touch of the mouse pointer. The corporate identity is based on collaborative and interactive design elements.

The Collaboratory is developed within the framework of »dive in. Program for Digital Interactions« of the Federal Cultural Foundation, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM) in the NEUSTART KULTUR program.
